About
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Physical Biosciences division at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in the lab of Heinz Frei. My research aims to measure electron transfer kinetics in chromophores which will eventually be incorporated into a heterogeneous artificial photosynthesis system.
I finished my PhD in inorganic photochemistry at Ohio University in the lab of Jeffrey Rack in November 2010. My dissertation research focused on the synthesis and characterization of photochromic ruthenium sulfoxide complexes. Analysis of spectroscopic features and the ultrafast kinetics of the complexes yielded interesting insights toward understanding the phototriggered linkage isomerization mechanism.
